Before the internet, smartphones and TV, there were magazines and one of their most popular features … were the Pin Ups. From the pages of Esquire® and other magazines, the Pin Up Girl grew to be an American icon.
Pinups accompanied GIs through Europe and the South Pacific, hung in shipboard lockers and often used as ‘nose art’ on B-17s, B-29s and almost every other warplane of WWII.
