Student of the Year Indian comedy campus romance film directed by Karan Johar,the film is produced by Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan under the banner of Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment,film released on 19 October 2012. Siddharth played the character of Abhimanyu a student and the story revolves around the three characters one is Siddharth Malhotra, and other is Varun Dhavan & Aliaa Bhatt. Abhimanyu singh dashing dude of the college who hails from a middle class family and is orphan. But with Dharma Productions and Manish Malhotra there's no such thing as poor. Siddharth is again coming up with Karan Johar as he has signed a movie titled Hasee Toh Phasee with Karan Johar and Phantom films. Siddharth will be seen romancing with Ishaqzaade actress Parineeti Chopra. The movie is also said to be the debut direction of Vinil Mathew. It's a love story developed by Vinil and he will be directing it. Karan had several meetings with the team of Phantom Productions comprising Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl and both parties shook hands over the script as the sources said. This will be Siddharth's second film with Dharma Productions after his debut movie Student Of The Year.
